Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate large-scale data processing, analytical, ETL, and API systems.
• Develop solutions for data reporting, accuracy, consistency, and business insights.
• Improve data models and database query performance.
• Simplify and modernize existing data processing workflows.
• Write technical design specifications and support documentation.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and UI/UX teams on end-to-end solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools or approaches that improve development efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of software development experience.
• Expertise developing API services using Java.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Practical experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Kinesis, Athena, and Glue.
• Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling for historical data.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Proficiency with Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field.
• Preferred: experience with Prometheus, Druid, or InfluxDB.
• Preferred: expertise in OLTP, OLAP, star and snowflake schemas, normalization, and dimensional modeling.
• Preferred: experience designing scalable data pipelines and schema evolution.
• Preferred: proficiency with OpenAPI and familiarity with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD for data workflows.
• Preferred: understanding of data warehousing, root cause analysis, and large-scale pipeline optimization.
